The Anti-Doping page of the website has been updated with all the documents applicable as of January 1st, 2015.

You will find on that page the revised IFSS Anti-Doping Rules for Humans and the IFSS Anti-Doping Rules for Dogs approved by WADA. One change concerns the Result Management in case of positive doping. The hearing of the concerned athletes and the resulting penalties will be handled by the IFSS instead of the national federation as was the case in the previous rules.

The Prohibited List (PL) for dogs and the Controlled List (CL) for dogs have been revised. The PL includes the Immunosuppresives and Immunomodulators. The CL required a waiting time of 28 days when Reproductive Hormones are prescribed. The use of the medications listed on the CL must be approved as instructed in the Regulations of Controlled Medications.

The Regulations of Controlled Medications, the related Veterinary Medications Form 1 and 2 as well as the Guide to Supplements and Medications have also been revised.

It is highly recommended that the competitors keep a copy of the PL and CL with their dogs’ papers whenever they go and see their veterinarian so that the vet can control if he/she is using a prohibited substance or method or a controlled medication and inform the dog’s owner accordingly.

The prohibited list for athletes and the Therapeutic Use Exemption form for athletes are available on the WADA website www.wada-ama.org.
